I purchased my HP Mini in March as a replacement to my Acer I recently gave away to a foster kid that had the highest GPA. Well I want my Acer back. HP is a joke. Pricer than my Acer Aspire but clearly a lower quality. Acer keyboad was roomier and easier to use. I don't even want to get started on HP touch pad mouse. It is the WORSE! Had my Acer for a year, and it went everywhere! Scotland, England, Peru and back to humid Miami. It stayed in its sleeve and in the purse. This HP didn't last two months. Thankfully, there is a warranty. Had to wait 2 weeks for a hard drive an additonal week for the software. The tickler is the old hard drive had to be sent back in the within THREE (3) business days of delivery or I was going to be billed $150 for the replacement. Well the unit came and I placed the call to HP to be walked through how to switch the two out. It took a two days of calling and hanging up until I found a technician whose accent was thick and speech was comprehensible. That was last night at 9:30 pm.

Not an electronics girl none of the 6 screwdrivers I own fit the small screws so I was told to go knock on neighbors door or go buy a small set. I waited until I got to work and borowed a coworkers eyeglass kit. Then it was another a series of call, only 3 this time to get a tech with clear speech. I am now at over 45 minutes in to a call and things aren't looking good. The tech doesn't have true step-by-step instruction and I am yanking and pulling on things I am not sure I should.

All this makes me appreciate my recent call to Magnox for a techincal issue. I go a friendly guy from the good old midwest who had me off the line, tv working and happy in less than 10 minutes.

Never again HP! Not even for a printer!!

The HP mini was a great disappointment. Three things: USB ports on right side of computer are set so close together that you cannot use 2 USB ports at the same time. (That's 2) Third, the on-off switch needs long strong fingernails to push the tiny button on. A toggle switch would have been fine. I sent it back. :-(

i bouth that laptop a 6 weeks ago, it says that the battery last for 9 hours,in reality it doesnt give you more than one hour, and when is fully charged and you dont use it for a few day the charge drops to less than half hour and now when you try to use it it gives you about 15 minutes,it sucks big time.i am returning that piece of junk.
